The Low Rider™ is a children’s trike designed for indoor and outdoor recreational activities. It provides a means for self-initiated movement and independence in children with mobility challenges.
The Low Rider™ has been designed to help children discover new skills as well as new friends. The potential for physical and cognitive development was a key factor in the design phase.
With independence comes confidence. The Low Rider™ is easier to propel and control, giving children the freedom to explore their world. Designed for growing children, the Low Rider™ is simple to use, reliable, and includes adjustments to keep up with the child’s growth.
The two different Low Rider™ models are intended for children between 1 to 5 years of age.
Self-propulsion allows children to explore and interact with their environment. The Low Rider™ was designed to give toddlers maximum independence by providing them direct access to the front wheels.
Interaction with peers is essential to children’s development. The Low Rider™ provides a seat-to-floor height as low as 200mm (8 inches). This allows the child to interact at eye level and easily transfer between the trike and the floor during playtime.
The Low Rider™ offers children the opportunity to explore their home and play with friends with minimal assistance. It facilitates play – a key factor in the early years of development in a child’s life.
The Low Rider™ provides an early experience of independence for children. In doing so, they will have opportunities for developing physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities while having great fun.
Portability – the Low Rider™ fits in the smallest of vehicles, making it easier than ever to enjoy a number of outdoor activities.
The Low Rider™ is available in two different sizes dependent on age and comes
with a 3-point safety belt for increased comfort and support.
This lets someone else do the work. If the child isn’t ready to self-propel yet (or is just tired), attach the push handle.
The steel frame is light weight yet strong and provides a smooth ride over bumpy terrain. The larger front wheels don’t get stuck and the three-wheeled footprint is stable like a tripod.
The High grade adjustable Microfiber upholstery gives a supportive ‘hug’.
A favorite among children, the Low Rider™ Activity Table provides additional
freedom to play, draw, read or have a snack. The Activity Table is height adjustable,
light weight and includes features such as built-in pencil holder, recessed cup
holder and detachable smartphone/tablet holder. The table top is expertly
crafted in solid hardwood from sustainably farmed timber along with
water-based, eco-friendly surface coatings.
